2023 F3A World Championships | Australia

We’re super excited to be traveling to Warwick in Queensland, Australia this year for the F3A World Championships! Just a few short months away, the championships will take place August 19-26.

Warwick is a charming regional town in Queensland, Australia, known for its rich history, picturesque countryside, and vibrant local community. Visitors can easily access Warwick by car, bus, or train from Brisbane. The closest major airport is Brisbane Airport, which offers international flights, with a transfer time of about 2 hours by car or public transport.

In recent times it has promoted itself as the ‘Rose and Rodeo City’ because of the fame of the Warwick Rodeo which is held each October. Warwick is the headquarters of the Australian Rough Riders Association and has produced a number of famous rodeo riders. Today it is an impressive inland city which is best experienced by simply taking a number of the walks and enjoying the ambiance of this graceful and impressive destination.

Warwick is located 158 km south west of Brisbane via National Highway 15, and there is an abundance of accommodation within Warwick and the surrounding area for participants and spectators alike.

As most of you know our national organization (AMA) sponsors our FAI Teams but this valuable sponsorship only pays for a small portion of the costs to send a team to a World Championship.

Since the team funding only accounts for a small portion of the cost, we really need to rely on our fellow modelers to help us with fundraising to make up for the extra money to defray the costs that our team will incur.  Check out our merchandise and donation options to help house and feed the team and also the support equipment that will be needed.
